Beijing - The 13th LOGODI-Tsinghua seminar jointly organized by LOGODI and Tsinghua University’s School of Continuing Education (SCETU) took place at Tsinghua University in Beijing from November 21st through 24th, 2019. Under the scope of an MOU established between LOGODI and SCETU in 2008, LOGODI has convened the annual seminar on an alternating basis with SCETU since 2007. Each year, around 100 public officials and experts come together and discuss local governance and policy issues faced by both countries.
This year, focused on the theme of "The Digital Economy Era and Government Innovation", over 100 officials and scholars from government agencies and academic institutions across the Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China convened. LOGODI delegation led by LOGODI President Park Jae-min shares Korea’s experiences in Digital Government Transformation and discusses public service innovation, the role & functions of government, and regulatory reform in the Digital Economy Era.
The seminar was composed of three sessions. Each of the three sessions includes presentations by representatives from Korea and China, followed by panel debates led by a moderator. The discussions have presented an opportunity for the countries to share relevant cases and paths forward.
During the opening ceremony for the event, LOGODI President Park Jae-min praised the 13 years of fruitful cooperation between his institute and Tsinghua University, through which this forum has connected leading experts on a broad range of issues toward the mutual advancement of Korea and China.
