WANJU – A delegation of 15 faculty members from the National Academy of Governance (NAOG) and senior officials from Mongolia that arrived yesterday have just begun a one-week study visit at LOGODI.
The “Study Visit Program for NAOG Faculty and Senior Officials (Mongolia)” started today with a welcome event hosted by LOGODI President Park Byungho, and has already completed its first of a series of lectures. This year’s program focuses on issues related to performance management, and will welcome guest speakers from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Office for Government Policy Coordination, Korea Institute of Public Finance, and Kookmin University.
The Mongolian delegates are headed by Mr. Byambasuren Yadmaa, Dean of the Graduate School of Governance & Management at NAOG. His academy has had an arrangement with LOGODI for mutual exchange and cooperation in the field of education and training since July 2002. LOGODI has been inviting NAOG faculty members for study visits to the institute on a regular basis in the context of this partnership. Senior officials from central and local governments across Mongolia have accompanied these delegations, which this year include heads, managers, and others from the Cabinet Secretariat, ministries, anti-corruption and audit agencies, and governors’ offices.
The closing ceremony is scheduled for Friday, after a seminar for case sharing on performance management models in Korea and Mongolia, conducted with the presence of officials from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Gyeonggi Provincial Government.
