SEOUL – The Mongolian delegation representing the National Academy of Governance (NAOG) at LOGODI concluded its study visit today, after a seminar for case sharing on performance management models in Korea and Mongolia.
The 15 faculty members and senior officials from central and local governments across Mongolia received their certificates of completion for the “Study Visit Program for NAOG Faculty and Senior Officials (Mongolia)” in a closing ceremony hosted by LOGODI President Park Byungho.
Pres. Park in his remarks acknowledged the intensity of the one-week curriculum—which included not only lecturers but also study and site visits with briefings and the seminar conducted in the morning—while congratulating the participants for their achievements in such a short amount of time.
The seminar was incorporated in the schedule to introduce the participants to performance management models in Korea and to serve as a forum for them to share their own cases from Mongolia. Discussions during the sessions further touched on systems of monitoring and evaluation in the countries.
Over the past week, LOGODI accompanied the delegation to meet with officials at the Rural Development Association in Wanju County and the Ministry of Employment and Labor in Sejong Special Self-Governing City. The participants also had the opportunity to partake in cultural activities at Jeonju Hanok Village, including with Korean traditional clothing, or “hanbok.” They will experience the product showcase at Samsung D’light in Seoul Special Metropolitan City tomorrow, before heading back home to Mongolia on Sunday.
In succession of the regular study visits arranged under the MOU between LOGODI and NAOG since July 2002, another delegation from the academy is expected to be welcomed with focus on a new theme by request in 2019.
