Huanuco carries out second workshop to share experience with LOGODI

WANJU – LOGODI alumni from Peru are conducting Huanuco Region’s second workshop on capacity development administration today, a year after its first.

The officials from Huanuco Regional Government are back home after completing LOGODI’s three-week “Capacity Development Program for Public Administration (Peru)” earlier in April, sponsored by KOICA. This year was the third and last round of the three-year series that included phased content on HRD, economic revitalization, the Saemaul Undong, intergovernmental cooperation in the policy making stage, and central-local intergovernmental cooperation. Other areas of importance to Peruvian local government officials were incorporated in the carefully planned curriculums.

Impressed by the lectures, study and site visits, and cultural experiences prepared for them during their time in Korea, the now alumni expressed their desire to share their experience and the know-how with others in their field.

Director General Choi Myungkyu of the Planning Department at LOGODI greeted the workshop participants remotely via video message, congratulating them for their achievements throughout Huanuco’s 479-year history and wishing them a successful exchange. The International Training & Cooperation Division, which administers the institute’s programs for Peru, also sent their best wishes.

LOGODI stays closely involved with its alumni following their completion of programs in Korea, supporting them in their personal and professional advancement. Last month, the institute reconnected with 16 of its Peruvian alumni from programs since 2016, at a reunion organized in Lima.
