African officials complete three-week training program at LOGODI

WANJU – A closing ceremony for 16 officials from Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Senegal was held at LOGODI.
This year marked the last stage of the tripart program sponsored by KOICA and carried out by LOGODI.
The participants in this year of the program end their training with conclusive action plans that correspond to the major tasks they issued in the beginning of the program, and are prepared to return to their countries to put them into practice.
During their time in Korea, the participants had an opportunity to get lectures given by experts in the field of Regional Development, Agricultural Development, Good Governance and Policy Coordination, Human Resource Development etc.
In addition, LOGODI planned study and site visits to improve the understaning of participants such as Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government, Yondo-gu District Government, Busan Port Authority, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Rural Development Agency etc.
LOGODI President, Mr. Park Jae-min presented certificates to each of participants for their successful completion of the program. In his remarks, he shared hopes that the experiences acquired in Korea would contribute to the advancement of local government and an continuous exchanges in the four countries.
Mr. Gustave Nkoyock, Mayor of Massok Council from Cameroon, responded on behalf of delegation, thanking the Korean Government, instructors, and staff for their support during their stay in Korea. He also expressed their admiration for the “Korean model,” which they will benchmark and aspire to implement according to the needs of their countries.
The participants hoped for further follow- up training in their countries and cooperation in the future.
