On February 23, the LOGODI and the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) in the Arab Republic of Egypt signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to continue the cooperation in the area of capacity development of local governmnet officials for an additional 5 years.
The MOU was signed in Cairo by the Executive Director, Dr. Sherifa Sherif and in Wanju by the President of LOGODI, Dr. Yoon Jong-jin on line.
The revised MOU supersedes an agreement signed in 2008 and expands cooperation between two institutions.
It is expected that the MOU will facilitate the continued cooperation to establish training programs for Egyptian local government officials.
The ties between LOGODI and Egypt dates back to 2004 and LOGODI shared Korea's development and administrative experiences with 212 Egyptian officials.
