LOGODI supports Mongolia in implementing its first online training for government officials

WANJU - On February 10, 2020, the LOGODI hold the opening ceremony of 'Study Visit Program for NAOG Faculty and Senior Officials from Mongolia'. This is a one-week capacity building program for a delegation from Mongolia, headed by Vice Rector of the National Academy of Governance (NAOG), including the NAOG faculty, training managers, and IT officer, as well as senior government officials.

In 2002, the LOGODI signed an Arrangement Concerning Mutual Exchange and Cooperation in the Fields of education and Training of Public Officials with the NAOG. Since then, the LOGODI has been inviting NAOG faculty and senior officials every year and carried out training programs.

This year, the Mongolian government officially requested the LOGODI to support NAOG faculty and senior officials in developing online training for Mongolian government officials.

Therefore, the LOGODI tailored the program to provide the participants with in-depth understandings of Korea’s online training through special lectures and a seminar on E-learning content planning and development, Korean government E-learning platform, etc. Furthermore, the participants will have study site visits to National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE) and Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

During the welcome remarks, Mr. Park Jae-min, the President of LOGODI, addressed the 30th anniversary of the Korea-Mongolia diplomatic relationship and the 6th MoU renewal of LOGODI-NAOG. He added, "Since 2002, the LOGODI has been promoting mutual trust and friendly relations with the NAOG through the capacity building programs and onsite training programs for 19 years. I hope this study visit program will be a good opportunity to strengthen the capacity of participants in developing online training in Mongolia."
