Fifteen chief level government officials from Egypt participated in Public Sector Development Program at LOGODI from Thursday, May 14, until Friday, May 29, 2009.
The participants not only had a great chance to learn about South Korea through various activities such as field trips, but also through hands-on cultural experiences on South Korean developmental experience to their home country during their 16 day stay in South Korea.
First, the participants had a lecture on possible economic development and investment activation of Egypt based on South Korea’s propelled case of Public-Private Investment Program (PPP) and the development experience. Thereafter, they visited KOTRA, where they had introduced Invest KOREA Polices.
In addition, they also learned about South Korea’s human resource development strategy, leadership skills, administrative transparent characteristic security strategy, e-government, and current know-how on the development of South Korean administration system.
According to a study program participator, there was a request for a South Korea study visit program, and also an increasing popularity of learning the Korean language in 2008. As Egypt is regarded as the main political and cultural center for the Middle East and Africa, this program is expected to increase South Korea’s amicable relationship with Egypt’s ally nations.
