WANJU – A LOGODI delegation led by President Bae Jin-hwan has just returned from a five-day trip abroad to meet with alumni and carry out localized training across Mongolia.
The on-site program took place from June 20 to 24 in the capital Ulaanbaatar and surrounding province of Tuv, and included lectures and consultations by Korean experts on state-owned enterprise governance performance management as well as monitoring and evaluation in ministries and agencies. 130 LOGODI alumni, Mongolian central and local government officials, and faculty from the National Academy of Governance (NAOG) took part in the training.
LOGODI and NAOG further seized the opportunity to renew their arrangement for mutual exchange and cooperation in the education and training of public officials, in force since July 2002. This year's renewal marks the fifth, with the sixth planned three years from now.
Since the start of bilateral ties, LOGODI has conducted its recurring Capacity Development Program for Mongolia and regular on-site programs 33 times for a total of 1,376 officials.
LOGODI has typically carried out on-site programs in Mongolia once every few years, and its last was back in April 2014.
This month's trip completes the first of two on-site programs scheduled for 2017. The second is slated for Peru from October 5 to November 11.
