WANJU - Wednesday, September 2, 2020
The Local Administration Development Program (LADP) 2020 has started today and will be carried out by Tuesday, September 8.
This year's program is very special and unique because it is the first real-time online training program for foreign officials. A delegation of 13 local government officials (heads, directors, and managers) take part in the program through ZOOM, a real-time video conferencing platform, from across the Asia-Pacific region, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, and Vietnam.
The purpose of the program is to strengthen the capacity of foreign officials in the areas of public administration management and innovation in the post-COVID-19 era. To this end, LOGODI allocated a series of special lectures, which are very opportune subjects for our response to and recovery from the pandemic.
Moreover, the participants will have two cases-based webinars, sharing best practices in local administration innovations of participating countries and Korea.
During the opening ceremony, LOGODI President Park Jae-min welcomed the participants and expressed his hopes that each of them will use the opportunity to exchange ideas and strategies toward the best practices in local government innovation.
