On September 8, 2020, LOGODI concluded its first online international training of the Local Administration Development Program 2020, which was designed to help the 13 delegates improve their capacity and leadership in preparing for the changes and challenges in the post-COVID-19 era.
Throughout the program, LOGODI allocated seven special lectures in topics of the role of local government, the response measure to the COVID-19, good governance, government innovations, the post-COVID-19 rea, deglobalization, 4th industrial revolution, sustainable development, competency for local autonomy, ethics and transparency in public administration, etc.
Also, the participants had two case-based webinars, sharing best practices in the local administration of each participating country and Korean local governments. The 13 participants and 4 delegates of Korean local government officials presented a total of 16 case studies, categorized in four subjects; 1) Citizen Participation, 2) HRM & Public Administration, 3) Regional Development, 4) Citizen Participation & Intergovernmental Cooperation. Professor Choe Chang-soo, Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, moderated the webinars and gave the participants constructive commentaries on each case study.
During the closing ceremony, Mr. Park Jae-min, the President of LOGODI, gave farewell remarks with a heartfelt appreciation for their sincere commitments during the program and asked their continued support for LOGODI.
In reply to the farewell remarks, Ms. Tra Thi Xuan Nguyen from Vietnam thanked LOGODI for the rich learning experience throughout the real-time online training program.
