WANJU – Ugandan local government officials from 10 newly established cities have completed a follow-up workshop program from April 20, 22, and 28,29 2021.
Last year, LOGODI carried out an online training program, which was supposed to be conducted in Uganda, to meet the training needs of Ugandan local government officials from 10 newly established cities, including Jinja, Lira, Mbarara. Arua, Gulu, Mbale, Forportal, Masaka, Hoima, and Soroti.
After the program last year, the Ugandan government informed LOGODI that many participants would like to have an intensive peer dialogue session to discuss how to apply the learned models in their respective cities.
Therefore, the Ministry of Public Service of Uganda officially requested LOGODI exclusively designed a workshop to provide in-depth peer-dialogue discussion on four topics selected by the participants, such as Resource Mobilisation Strategies and Aspects of Human Capital Development, E-Governance for Good Governance, Case Studies on Successful Regional Development, and Local Government Strategies for Counteracting the Emerging COVID- 19 Challenges/Operational Issue.
More than 40 Ugandan government officials actively shared their experiences, and Korean experts discussed integrated and holistic approaches to address administrational challenges and issues raised by the participants of the new cities.
