The Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI; President: Kim Jang-hoi) cohosted the 15th LOGODI-Tsinghua Seminar with Tsinghua University's School of Continuing Education (SCETU), People's Republic of China.
The LOGODI-Tsinghua Seminar has been held annually ever since LOGODI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for exchange and cooperation with the SCETU in 2008. Each year, the seminar serves as a platform to share knowledge and good practices on public administration and regional development.
As the COVID-19 pandemic persists, this year the 15th seminar held online. Under the theme, 'Economic Resilience and Sustainable Development in the Post-COVID-19 Era,' renowned scholars across Korea and China shared each country's policy practices and discussed new strategies in three subthemes; 1) Cooperative Governance Development between Central and Local Governments, 2) Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Development, and 3) Strengthening Cooperation and Exchanges between Korea and China.
In the opening remarks, Kim Jang-hoi, President of LOGODI, said, “This year is the 29th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and China. I hope this seminar reflects on the past 29 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. When we are striving to secure growth engines for sustainable development in the post-pandemic recovery period, I believe this seminar can provide an opportunity to share and discuss the policies of the two countries for economic recovery and growth."
