WANJU - LOGODI carried out a customized program, Capacity Building Program for Public Administrative Reform of the Laotian Government, sponsored by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), from August 2 to 6, 2021.
Laos has recently recognized the importance of the role of government officials for national development and is actively promoting administrative reform and capacity building of central and local government officials.
Upon request of the Laotian government, LOGODI designed the program to support public officials to build their capacity, including all the necessary skills and knowledge for the administrative reform of the Laotian government, by sharing Korea's experiences and best practices related to government innovation.
The delegation, including middle and senior HRM officials of central government and administrative officials of Public Administration Research and Training Institute (PARTI), participated actively in special workshops of Action Plan and special lectures on Good Governance, Government Innovation, Organizational Management, and HRM Innovation.
In particular, the action plan workshop was of practical help to Lao administrative reform by analyzing the environment of Laotian public administration with Korean experts and developing implementation strategies. At the end of the program, participant presented their action plan for improvement that they can specifically apply in the field.
President Kim Janghoi expressed his hope that this program could help the Laotian government officials to strengthen their capacity in administrative reform and national development. He also added that sharing Korea's experiences and achievements in government innovation could contribute to the national development of Laos and further expand cooperation in Human Resource Development, which is the core of the New Southern Policy.
