On November 30, LOGODI started the Capacity Development Program for Mongolian Local Government Officials to shares Korea's Experiences on the local council. About 460 government officials of the local council secretariats from across the 21 Aimag (metropolitans and provinces) and 330 Soums (middle-level local governments) in Mongolia will participate for the next five days.
For the last two years, LOGODI's training program for Mongolian Senior Official was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, thanks to the authorization of the Korean government and the partnership with NAOG, LOGODI converted the program into an online format and extended the target participants to the government officials of the local councils.
The program's goal is to strengthen the capacity of the participants for the autonomy development of the local government in Mongolia.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Yoon Jong-jin, President of LOGODI, said, "I hope the experience and knowledge shared through this program would enhance the capacity of the participants and lay out a foundation for the development of Mongolian local autonomy."
Dr. Surenchimeg Dulamsuren, Rector of the NAOG, expressed her gratitude to the Korean government and LOGODI and said, "I hope that this training would help the participants improve their personal lives and job performance at work."
